Learning Support
UMEI strives to cultivate full potential in each student. To enhance the equitable and dynamic learning environment, the UMEI Learning Hub is a space designed for students who need extra time, support and skill development. UMEI supports students with IEP accommodations by building strong relationships between teachers, parents and students. We also provide enhanced Guidance support to students in all four grades as they choose courses that lead to post-secondary goals.
Student Success Period
All teachers are available in their classrooms from 3:00- 3:30 daily for extra help. Students can drop in regularly during this time period for personalized instruction, remediation, or other supports that are needed.
Teachers also lead “booster sessions” to help students with study skills, communication skills, leadership development, time management and more. UMEI teachers truly care about developing the whole person and growing success in each and every student.
