Lightning Bolt

The annual Lightning Bolt fundraiser run/walk is named after our athletic teams, the UMEI Lightning. The Lightning Bolt helps raise funds to help students in need access the UMEI experience!

There are a number of ways to participate in the Lightning Bolt:
10K Run
5K Run
5K Walk
Kids 1K
Kids 400M dash

If you cannot participate, please consider pledging to support another participant.

The event starts at 9am at Point Pelee. Awards ceremony follows the race. This event runs rain or shine!

Tickets include:
Free entry into Point Pelee
A Lightning Bolt race shirt (must register by the early bird deadline 2 weeks before race day)
Chip timed event by WRACE
Post race refreshments
Awards (1st place male/female for 5K and 10K)
Door prizes
